As he is a central character in the Legendarium, he naturally appears in many different Tolkien media. Here I have chronicled information on Elrond's portrayal across the many screen adaptations, book illustrations, stage plays, toys and games, and radio plays. Along with some of my own commentary. I hope this serves as a useful guide!

Movies and TV
The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit Trilogy Movies
Portrayed By: Hugo Weaving
Year: 2001 (LOTR) 2012 (The Hobbit)
The version of Elrond that typically first comes to mind when people picture the character. Truely an iconic portrayal; he has become the blueprint for nearly all the versions of Elronds going forward. It's debated if this version of him is a bit too harsh compared to the written material, but he's still generally very much adored by the greater fanbase.
Rankin/Bass Animated Movies
Voiced By: Cyril Ritchard
Year: 1977 (The Hobbit) 1980 (Return of the King)
Our first animated version, and arguably the most unique design. Breaks canon in many ways with his beard, silver hair, and starry halo, but he sure stands out! One of my personal favorites.
Ralph Bakshi Animated The Lord of the Rings
Voiced by: Andre Morell
Year:1978
Sometimes referred to as Roman Elrond or Ceasar Elrond. I love that his council seat is *on* the table.

Hobbitit
Portrayed by: Leif Wager
Year: 1993
A Finnish live-action television series. Elrond appears in episode 5: [Youtube]
Rings of Power
Portrayed by: Robert Aramayo
Year: 2022
Our first proper Second Age Elrond. (Not counting the Last Alliance battle in the movie trilogy) We see here a very different character; he's still learning his place in the world, and doesn't yet have the wisdom of his Third Age counterparts. His clothing design has multiple nods to his parents (Star of Earendil, and feathery shoulder pads). And even his ear prosthetics are even different from the other elves to convey his mannish heritage.
Book Illustrations
Bilbo's Last Song
Illustrated by: Pauline Baynes
Year: 1990
Pauline Baynes was Tolkien's chosen illustrator, and worked with Tolkien during his lifetime to illustrate some of his works.
Lord of the Rings, Russian Translation
Illustrated by: Sergey Yuhimov
Year: 1993
A very cool and unique set of illustrations with medieval iconography. (Also I just love the implication that Elrond has a dog!)
The Hobbit Graphic Novel
Illustrated by: Dave Wenzil
Year: 2001
This book came out in May 2001, just shy of The Fellowship of the Ring movie. We can clearly see a pattern in the difference of Elrond designs up to this point and after!
The Hobbit, Russian Translation
Illustrated by: Denis Gordeev
Year: 2005
So beautifully painted! We See him here with Galdalf, Bilbo, and Thorin.

Images from the LOTRO Wiki
I haven't played much of LOTRO, but he seems to get a few costume changes during the course of the story!
Heroes of Middle-Earth

The main character designs in this game generally follow the ones from the movie trilogy. He gets a cool little outfit here though, so I thought this was worth including!

Magic the Gathering

Quite a few illustrators for Elrond in this set! Many of their characters deviated from their designs that dominated the 2000s, but Elrond remains quite similar.
